KLCN Requests Support from AFN

KLCN REQUESTS SUPPORT FROM THE ASSEMBLY OF FIRST NATIONS

November 29, 2015

Chief Calliou and a delegation of elders will travel to Quebec in December as part of a decades-long fight for recognition from the Government of Canada.

The group will meet with the Chiefs-in-Assembly in Gatineau to present a draft resolution for support from the Assembly of First Nations.

Since 1996, KLCN has worked tirelessly to pursue a modern agreement with the Government of Canada that will recognize KLCN's right to self government and affirms its Indigenous Title and Rights.

KLCN would like to thank the Ts'hilqotin National Government and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake for their support.
