Citizenship Identification Program

as'in'i'wa'chi ni'yaw citizenship id process

If you are a member of the Kelly Lake Cree, As'in'i'wa'chi Ni'yaw Nation, and you are interested in obtaining an official identification card, please review the following information and follow the steps outlined below.

step one: KLCN citizenship database

Before KLCN can issue a citizenship ID card, your identity as a citizen of the Nation must be verified. KLCN keeps track of genealogy and citizenship through a specialized database system, whereby each member is assigned a unique registration number.

To find out whether your name is already included in the database, please email the Citizenship Administrator at

step two: apply for citizenship*

*Skip this step if you already have your registration number

If you are not already registered with KLCN, you will need to complete a citizenship application form. A valid long form birth certificate or Canadian Passport must be submitted for each individual.
